Salva has made a new cut of trouser for me - a higher waisted, straighter legged single pleat to match my Florentine jackets. This pair - the first example we have made, is in a light grey Fresco by J&J Minnis, my favourite cloth at the moment.
The usual cut I wear, and nearly everything I wear at the moment is by Salvatore, is a two pleated trouser with a middle high rise and tapered leg. For the winter, we are planning a double forward pleat, very high waist trouser with side adjustors and a full leg - a British cut, if you will. In a 570gr pale grey from Fox Flannels, I am looking forward to wearing them this winter with my tweeds.
Salvatore is in store today and tomorrow, working his usual magic, trying to make my dimensions more on the vertical than horizontal axis.
